The Grace Warrior

Author, Speaker, Grace Warrior

I had life figured out. Then life stuff happened. You know, those annoying interruptions that throw everything off track. Perhaps you’ve been there.

My interruption would be considered significant by most, and like many might do, I threw myself a long pity party. Finding no relief or satisfaction, I had a talk with God. It was more like a complaint session. But he listened, and he answered, assuring me that he could take care of everything. So, I handed it all to him.

Admittedly, surrendering my preconceived idea of what life was supposed to look like was difficult. Burying the notion that I had control of anything went against every grain in my take-charge personality. Although, it’s been over ten years, I occasionally want to tell God what’s best. That’s when Paul’s conversation with God comes to the forefront of my mind.

Here’s what God’s response was when he asked the Almighty to remove a thorn in his life. “Each time he said, ‘My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.’ So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses so that the power of Christ can work through me. That’s why I take pleasure in my weaknesses, and in the insults, hardships, persecutions, and troubles that I suffer for Christ. For when I am weak, then I am strong.” II Corinthians 12:9-10 (NLT)

God’s grace gets me through the day. God’s grace opens opportunities for me to help others. It helps me understand and love others despite our differences. God’s grace is all-sufficient.

Sharing God’s message of grace is my ministry. My aim is to always be the Grace warrior. With all that I am. With all that I have.

As a professional, but mostly as a grace warrior, my encouraging words to you are the same – God’s grace is all you need.
